“ The chicken fell off the bone on the chicken wings. The pulled pork sandwich was flavorful enough to eat plain. They do have sweet, house, hot and Carolina sauces on the table. The jalapeño cheese dip - get it. It was like a hug from your Mom. There is a decent sized patio that you can eat outside with your dog at and there is parking (not sure if this gets filled at dinner rush, if so there is neighborhood street parking nearby). Hands down some of the best bbq I have had. ”

“ I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. The service was excellent. Food was delicious! I ordered the half slab of BBQ ribs with a side of onion rings, and potato salad. It was so hard to narrow down my sides to those because they all looked so good. My platter also came with Texas toast. The ribs were tender, with the meat falling off the bone. The onion rings were hands down, the BEST, onion rings I have ever had in my life. The potato salad was also good! The next time I am in Atlanta, I will definitely come back here! :) ”

“ I've been here twice and it definitely has a neighborhood type place. There is street parking and parking behind the building. You seat yourself inside or outside, and the tables outside have umbrellas and fans which is nice. We had cheat days and wanted to try some BBQ. We've had the ribs (dry and wet), chicken, onion rings, collared greens, potato salad, cole slaw, mac n cheese, baked beans, Cobb Salad with grilled chicken, and banana pudding. For beer, I've had the Emergency Drinking Beer which was pretty good. Sort of sweet and tangy. The food is great! Definitely southern style BBQ! Not a huge fan of 2/4 BBQ sauces, and I prefer their ribs wet. Note that if you want 2 meats to get it because it's actually a really good deal. The 1/2 rack of ribs is the same price as the 2 meats and the 2 meats can include the 1/2 rack of ribs. I wouldn't suggest the banana pudding as it was literally pudding with bananas in it and little nilla cookie crumbles on top...absolutely disappointing! Service is also great here! Definitely would return! ”

“ Was looking for somewhere to eat lunch and came upon the greater good so I decided to give it a try. Let me say that I was pleasantly surprised! I consider myself a pretty good meat cooker, Bbqer, Q master or whatever you call it myself so I'm very critical of the smoked meats. But I must say that the ribs were tender and the rub was just right. Not too salty like a lot of rubs & the smoked chicken salad was so good that I won't even complain about the bone chips that I had in mine because it was too good to have the server take it from me & to wait for another. The greens were seasoned just right and the baked beans were good and smokey. The place was very clean & So were the bathrooms. I'm gonna take the family back for a visit. ”

“ Ironically I wasn't even looking for The Greater Good Barbecue. I was set to go someplace else for lunch, and while I was at a red light I looked up and saw the greater good. Well shoot, let me pull on in here for lunch then! I kinda liked that they didn't have this expansive menu and stuck to their strengths. I decided on a pulled pork sandwich ($8.49) which comes with a side of fries or tots for $1 more. I opted for the tots. You can select the sauces you'd like and I got house and sweet sauces to go. Pulled pork sandwich came with a "fill you up" amount of pork, topped only with a couple of pickle slices on a sandwich bun. Meat was flavorful, not chalky or dry, and while I didn't NEED to add sauce to make the sandwich enjoyable, the sauce did enhance the flavors. I liked this sandwich! The house sauce, which was slightly sweet but with a smokey flavor was much better to me than the sweet sauce.. The sweet sauce was pretty sweet, flavor wise. The tots....there were a lot of them, and for about a 20 minute drive in their container, I was expecting them to be somewhat soggy. Nope! They were still really crunchy, seasoned well and pretty tasty too. Customer service was nice, and the interior is larger than you'd expect, with a small initial room with about 4 tables, and then a much more expansive room with another 15 tables or so. There's also a nice patio that sits in front of the restaurant that looks great too. Small amount of parking on the front and sides, but more parking in the rear, although like others mentioned, if this place is full, you're not going to find a spot unless there were lots of carpoolers. Service was fast, getting my lunch meal in under 10 minutes Thoroughly satisfied here with my order. Definitely worth a sit down visit sometime in the near future. ”
